Support River East Library – Vote Yes on April 7th

River East Public Library hasn’t had a funding increase in 53 years. It’s the same tax rate when Kennedy was President, card catalogs ruled the day, and books were the paper. We haven’t kept pace for years on funding the River East Public Library District. While River East has done amazing things with such little resources, it is time for us to step up and get the funding we need to make a good library great and to ensure the families of our community continue to have a library to go to.

Last year over 29,000 visits to River East Public Library and over 34,000 items were loaned out.  Of those items, almost 17,500 were materials for children and 2,980 children attended children’s programming, every family in our area benefits from the library. For the cost of about one pizza spread out over the whole year, we can make a big change for the better.

Mark your calendar for April 7th and Vote YES for River East Public Library.
